Extrusal makes available to all professionals the BIM library of its products. BIM objects were designed and parameterized to ensure simple, intuitive and optimized use. The product information is categorized so that the user can intuitively access all its features, from the span spans, glazing thicknesses, performances (thermal and acoustic), accessories to the admissible surface treatment.
All BIM Extrusal elements are available for REVIT design software. From the product portfolio available in the BIM library are the A.175 (top-of-the-range) and A.175 FO (Hidden Sheet) opening systems; the B.150 (minimalist), B.095 LV (reduced view of the central profile) and B.095 (sliding and lifting) sliding systems, the A.055 and F.100 door system, the guard system in aluminum and glass.
BIM is an increasingly used methodology for the virtual modeling of buildings. It is an intelligent process based on a three-dimensional (3D) model that provides architecture, engineering and construction professionals with the information and tools needed to efficiently design, plan, design, construct and manage buildings and infrastructure. It allows all parties involved to work collaboratively, simultaneously accessing the same project. The information of each project is reduced to a single digital model, thus reducing individualized drawings/models.
It is possible to create data associated with the physical and functional characteristics of the different products that will be installed in the building, before the construction phase, being able to estimate quantities and costs of raw materials and project a 3D visualization of the space. BIM allows changes in the design, thus resulting in the adaptation of projects to specific needs, always respecting the parameters previously defined by the manufacturers.
According to Extrusal, the construction of a library of BIM products is due to the growing adherence of professionals, architects, designers to this new approach to work, thus offering added value to their products and services. This collaborative process allows for greater digitalization of projects in the construction and rehabilitation sector, increasing the efficiency of all stakeholders, minimizing errors and better management of costs and processes.
