Extrusal was invited to participate in the journey “How to achieve the digitalization objectives of your SME”, promoted by FEUP in partnership with CONNECT5, on January 24th.
Extusal presented its automatic raw material consumption project and its Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platform. With this intervention, the company highlighted its strong strategic vision in the field of Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing, offering participants a real-time approach to how the extrusion process works.
These initiatives are “excellent opportunities for sharing experiences and knowledge between companies belonging to different sectors of activity, researchers and media. It allows to present how concepts and techniques are applied in a real context, being on the one hand, a channel that facilitates understanding of their applicability and practical and concrete results, and on the other, an incentive for the business community to follow models and strategies that make companies more competitive and efficient” states the company.
Considering that digitalization is an opportunity for companies, particularly PME, to become more competitive and more efficient, the FEUP Industry Liaison Committee decided to organize, in partnership with CONNECT5, the journey “How to achieve objectives digitalization of your PME”, which took place at FEUP on January 24, 2024.
FEUP participates in the CONNECT5 consortium, a Digital Innovation Hub focused on supporting the digital transformation of companies and entities in the national public sector, with financial support from the PRR. CONNECT5 is an integral part of the initial network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) promoted under the Digital Europe Programme.
